Our Church School
Our Church School is Bollinbrook Church of England Primary School which is situated on Abbey Road, Bollinbrook, Macclesfield SK10 3AT.  In the recent past other churches as well as St Michael’s were linked with the school but since 2012 following changes to parish boundaries the school has become St Michael’s church school.  The school is proud of its links to St Michael’s and we join with staff and parents to help nurture children and young people in the Christian faith through many aspects of their life at school. We have concentrated on building on our links with the school as the school have with us.  We are responsible for nominating Foundation Governors for the school and currently there are six made up from members of St Michael’s and other churches in the area. The school makes three main visits to the church each year for their Easter, Harvest and Christmas services when we are very pleased to welcome children, parents, staff and governors.  Children also visit as part of the curriculum in Year 1 and on other occasions during their time at school.  We hope to provide a place and space for them whilst they are in Macclesfield on visits and also to learn more about the church both of its history and the life of worship that has been carried out in this place for over 800 years. The children are treated to various activities including bell ringing, a quiz; things to look for in the church, crafts and activities and a story from the bible.  They get to see how a baby is baptised and help to act out the service. We invite all from the school community to our services – particularly the special occasions like the Christingle and the Crib Service as well as our monthly Treacle Service.  They are also very welcome to join our 9.30am or 11.00am congregations on Sundays – two different services that we hope will meet differing needs.
