Church Services9.30am Sunday ServiceThis is a half hour service catering for all children, where a bible story or Parable is told with the aid of wooden figures. Afterwards the children can do a craft whilst parents can enjoy a coffee and a chat.11.00am Sunday Service(60 minutes long)Here we follow the mainstream Anglican order of service. It is communion twice each month with an informal all-age service once a month.ChildrenWe run a range of children’s activities at our 9.30am and 11.00am Sunday services. 6.30pm Monthly(60 minutes long)Every 2nd Sunday of the month at 6:30pm there is a full Choral Evensong Service which follows the order of the Book of Common Prayer. The service is both calming and contemplative. 10.30am Thursday Communion(35 minutes long)Our midweek communion service follows the order from the book of Common Prayer (the old order).Service of Prayer for Healing & WholenessWe hold a monthly service of prayer for healing those with particular needs and for those who have left cards in the Savage Chapel. The service is held on the 1st Friday of the month at 12:15pm. It lasts for about half an hour and everyone is welcome to attend.
Other Gatherings Open for CoffeeThe church is open for coffee and refreshments Monday to Saturday from 10:30am until 12noon. Come and enjoy a chat or take a look around. To find out more click here.ChoirThis is an important part of the life of our church. It lifts and leads us in worship. It holds a weekly practice session and is open to new members young and old. Email.Contemplative PrayerThis way of prayer is foundational to all others. Sometimes we run courses on this topic, but we also have weekly groups running. You can contact The Church Office for more information. here.Toddler GroupEvery Thursday during term time we run a Toddler Group for pre-school children in the morning, 10:00am to 11:30am. It is aimed at children up to school age with their parents and carers and is a safe, relaxed and fun environment for the babies and children to play and adults to meet. Email.Bell RingersSt Michael’s has a marvellous peal of twelve bells. They are rung to announce our services; for celebration of weddings or simply for enjoyment.
